2026 Jan

Expedited Service

Our security gate failed to open so we called Laura and George. Knowing that walking up and down our long and steep driveway to manually open and close the gate might be a challenge for us they expedited a service call. The problem was quickly identified. The next business day Laura and George were there to make the repair. Within a couple of hours a faulty circuit board was replaced and all the other gate components were cleaned and checked to make sure no potential issue was overlooked. The gate works perfectly! First class service!

2025 July

Our New House

We moved into our house a year ago which has a large gate at the top of the driveway. Luckily the previous home owner left the contact for GemGates should we need any help. We contacted Laura and George when our gate wouldn’t automatically open and were so impressed by their prompt and efficient service. More than that George and Laura were such nice down to earth people and they took a personal interest in us and explained how the gate works, for the future. We would highly recommend them.

Gate Repair

We think that someone backed into our gate while we were away in November.
The gate mechanism was damaged and the gate was dislodged off the hinges so it was unable to be opened or closed.
George arrived to inspect it around New Year and then returned promptly on January 3rd, 2025 to repair it.
The gate is now working perfectly once again.
Thank you to George for his efficiency and knowledge and to Laura for making it all happen.
You are the most professional and friendly company and we will be using you to service our gate in the future to keep it working perfectly.

My 25 yr old

My 25 yr old gate operator failed. I called Gem Gates on Oct 1. George came that afternoon inspected system, provided hope that a replacement of the control system would solve problem.

He said he would put us on list but it might take a couple of weeks for our turn. I explained we hoped to be leaving town in 2 weeks on holiday.

George showed up Oct 2 replaced the control box re set gate actions and the 25 year old gate operating arm worked fine and reduced a full replacement option cost by about 50%.

I am very pleased with Georges efforts and recommend his services. Laura did an excellent job in handing office side of job.

I found George very knowledgeable on Gate maintenance. We have a lift master system and he replaced the auto exit car sense probe, adjusted the timing on the twin gate closure and shimmed one gate which had sagged somewhat (so would not close properly). He was very prompt and efficient at attending our site, and explaining what he had done and why.
